When relaxing on the front patio, the famous Great Orme Tram can be seen winding its way up to the summit past Llwynon Road, the cable cars can also be seen passing over the headland. You might catch a glimpse of the Kashmir goats who roam freely over the Great Orme and are sometimes seen outside the cottage!
Five minutes walk away is the oldest pub in Llandudno, the King’s Head with cosy log fire. You can sit outside, have a drink or a meal and watch the trams setting off from/returning to the tram station. There is also an award winning fish and chip shop opposite the pub.
Beside the Great Orme Country Park, you have Conwy Castle, Betws-y-Coed, Chester and many places of interest all within a close proximity to Ty Haf.
with its abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants also boasts a large modern Theatre which shows top West End shows and visits from the Welsh National Opera.
If you are feeling active the Dry Ski Slope, Snowboarding and Toboggan Centre is only 5 minutes walk away. Also there is a pitch and putt 10 minutes walk away. Fun for all the family!
The Great Orme Country Park, as well as having great walking paths with fantastic views, has the Great Orme Ancient Copper Mines dating back some 4000 years. A very enjoyable experience for both children and adults as you walk through tunnels mined out over 3,500 years ago.
The five mile walk around Marine Drive with its lovely views is a must. As you approach West Shore you get a lovely view of Conwy harbour and Conwy Castle.
St. Tudno’s Church on the Great Orme, some parts of which date back to the 12th century can be a very moving experience. There are services held outside the church on Sundays during May to September and you can walk around the cemetery with its very ancient headstones.
